Welcome to the home page of Darryl and Cathy - we have designed and dedicated this page to our retirement, our families and our trip around Australia.

During our working life Cathy and I have been fortunate enough to be able to visit many countries and stayed in some magical places around the world, and when we retired decided to sell our home and become Gray Nomads to see the fantastic country in which we live, Australia.

Back in 2008 we started to plan for our retirement and look at the type of vehicle that would best meet our needs to travel full time around Australia.

We visited the Brisbane Camping and Caravan Show and spent the first day looking at caravans of every shape and size, on the second day we came across the 5th wheelers. Our initial response was a maybe with some reservation over the price compared with the caravans that we had seen. We read through the brochures and went back on the third day for a closer look.

We had decided against a 5th wheeler until we met Peter and Marion Groom from Truelux. They were extremely welcoming and gave us food for thought as to why we should consider a 5th wheeler. Peter explained the advantages of a 5th wheeler over a conventional caravan, while we sat and spoke to Marion and Peter for several hours. Between the many interested customers coming and going through the 5th wheeler, finally we said our farewell and Cath and I came away with a better understanding of the benefits of a 5th wheeler.

After another visit to the visit to the Brisbane Camping and Caravan Show in 2010 we decided on a Trulux 5th wheeler. That was a little over 18 months ago and here we are in Melbourne visiting Peter and Marion ready to take ownership of our own Truelux 5th wheeler. Here again Peter was meticulous in every detail, ensuring Cath and I were happy with the layout, choice of colours and design, down to a stronger entrance handle to get me in to the 5th wheeler. More importantly he saved us money, by talking to us and getting a better understanding of what type of traveling we would be doing and made suggestions from his and Marion's personal experiences.

We are taking in the sights of Melbourne and country Victoria before taking ownership of our dream-home Truelux 5th wheeler, and set off for our first shake down adventure.
